Getting work done in India

Recently was discussing with my colleagues on the lunch table about how sometimes it is difficult to get things done in India. Then that to, when someone has stayed in US for sometime.

Then came across, few surprising thing, for people in US. If they really want to get something done, here is a one stop thing :-)

Scott Meyer talking about Cpp

In March of this year, Scott Meyer was interviewed for OnSoftware by Chuck Allison at the Software Development conference in California. The interview is splitted into three pieces.

Topics are :
They can be found at the informit site also.

Sensex crosses 18k

This has been a amazing run for the Sensex. It crossed 18k yesterday, unbelievable!!

Last year around the same time, we used to talk about a rumor that sensex might reach 16k, but this run has been totally amazing, which atleast I have no idea about why it's having such a bull run. Lets see how long does it continue.

Keeping fingers crossed.

Good iPhone Ad

I really like Apple's ads. But this iPhone ad by iPhone enthusiasts is really better than many of them.

Harry finally not to go..

Good sense seems have prevailed and the decision that Price Harry won't go to Iraq seems to have been taken now.

Really liked the editorial, Prince amidst warmongers, the other day on the much ado about nothing of his visit there.

Virtual Barber

Recently came across a nice audio on Virtual Barber. Do listen to this with your head phone on.

The amzaing part is the way the sound alternates between the two ears. Once to the right and then left. Not sure, how the author has done it, but the effect was cool. I really liked the part in the end, when he comes and whispers into your ear.

I feel something when it rains

Yesterday, got this mail from a person whom I am suppoesed to know.
Concerned person please identify yourself !!:-)

Very nice poem, worth a read..

I feel something
When I walk through the rain....
when I see rain drops on the leaves
and falling from leaves...oh my God...
I see, every leaf try so hard to keep a drop on it...
but the naughty drop.....scrolls down and falls....
Yes, because it has to get dissolved in a stream,
go along with the stream singing songs...
Through the mountains, from the mountains

I see the diamonds in the grass,
the very next morning, twinkling...
taking place for stars in the night...
Delicate beams of gold....everywhere
as if earth going to be the bride
and the birds singing marriage song
But then I think, who is the groom,
Ohh, see the Sun smiling at Earth

I see the marriage of earth and sun,
Every morning, in the rain
I see all new things, all over the place,
New wind, river, tree and new home,
as if I born on today itself, sitting at one place
and watching the rain through my window,
just hearing the sound, and feeling the peace
I bet I can sit here throughout my life,
When I see the rain I feel something

Wheels have started turning for Harry not to go..

Prince Harry's Iraq role under review

Well the process has started I guess and I think the things have kicked in, so that he doesn't go to Iraq at all.
Lets see what finally happens, but for now I think it is going to be that Harry doesn't go there for one reason or the other.
Eventually the Iraqi's got what they wanted. That they can influence a decision for one of the member of the British army to come to their country!!

Sachin Tendulkar - The Difference...

Came across these three good videos on Sachin.

With recent world cup exit in first round, the beauty of these still remains.

Iraqi's win-win strategy

Iraqi militias threaten to kidnap Prince Harry

Was very much surprised by this news, as lots of thinking would have gone on the Iraqi's part to come and then make this statement.
Now Prince Harry is being left with no choice but to go to Iraq and then serve on the front lines. If he doesn't, then the people from Iraq can claim that he didn't come because of them and the Britishers would argue with the govt that Prince is more valuae than there son's and daughters!!

And once he comes and by some fluke that they can manage what they claimed, then they can boast that "see we told you". And if they are not successful, then nothing against them, they are still trying.. and see the kind of protection it might require for Prince Harry, just to be safe..

Lots of chances of wining one way or the other!!
